Right Foot Red – Alli Gillis Bands Return For Hershey New Year’s Eve Celebration

(HERSHEY) – Organizers of Hershey’s fourth annual New Year’s Eve Celebration today announced the bands that drew thousands to last year’s event, Right Foot Red and the Alli Gillis Band, will return to the stage for repeat performances.

“We are pleased that each of these outstanding groups did not hesitate to accept our invitation to perform again this year in Hershey,” said Entertainment Committee Chairman Matt Solovey. “Those who missed last year’s high-energy performances will want to be in downtown Hershey this New Year’s Eve, and dance their way into the new year.”
The Alli Gillis band, sponsored by the ARM Group, will get the party started at 9 p.m. and perform until 10:20. Based in Pittsburgh, this country-rock band continues to grow in popularity and has opened for Craig Morgan, LeeAnn Womack, John Michael Montgomery, Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels, Diamond Rio and many others. Her debut CD, “Alli,” was released in the spring of 2008.

Billed as the “ultimate party band,” Right Foot Red will perform from 10:30 p.m. until midnight. The group plays music ranging from the 70’s disco era, stretching through the Big 80s and 90s, all the way to modern rock. The group is sponsored by HRG Engineers. In addition to the headline bands, the Hershey Company’s Children’s Stage will feature live entertainment from the following groups:

• 9 to 9:20 p.m.: Mr. Music
• 9:30 to 10 p.m.: One Broadway Dance and the Hershey School of Dance
• 10 to 11:15: Pink Yard Flamingoes

Hershey’s New Year’s Eve Celebration will again feature the signature Hershey’s Kiss Raise at midnight. Area children between the ages of 4 and 12 who would like to help raise the Hershey’s Kiss replica are reminded that the deadline to enter the contest is December 15.
