FAQ

What exactly happens at your event?
New Year's Eve in Hershey is a community event supported by area business, government and community organizations. Our event features both national and local entertainers, children's activities and food vendors. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels in the immediate and surrounding area.

Where is the event held?
The event is NOT held at HersheyPark but rather outdoors in the square of the Town of Hershey, Pennsylvania. There are no tickets, no seating and reservations are not required. If you arrive early, you will not be able to camp or hold your place as the stage is setup right on the street.

Is there an admission fee to the event?
The event is FREE!

Are tickets required?
Since the venue is the square of the town of Hershey, there are no gates, ticket takers
or tickets!

Can we make reservations?
Attendance is first-come, first nearest to the stage so reservations are not needed.

Will there be a meet and greet with any of the entertainers?
Most of the time, we will only know about meet and greets--if any--only a few days before the event. Once we have any details, we will post updates on our website, Facebook and Twitter.

If there will be meet and greets, how do I get tickets?
Sometimes, admittance to meet and greets is awarded by our radio or television media
partners and they hold a contest to determine who will participate. Sometimes, one of the
bands will have a special meet and greet for their fans prior to the event. Either way, we
will announce details if and when we have them.

Can I bring lawn chairs and tables to the New Years Eve celebration?
Yes, but there is so much to see and do we know you will want to move around (and stay warm!)

Will there be an area for people to setup lawn chairs to watch the bands?
There will be limited room for chairs to watch entertainment on a first-come, first-served basis, but no chairs will be allowed in the road.

Will there be tables for people to sit and eat?
No, unless the vendors provide them.

Will people be allowed to bring confetti to throw at midnight?
Sure!

Are we permitted to bring champagne bottles?
No alcohol will be sold at New Year's in Hershey since it is a family event. However, for those
who wish to purchase an adult beverage, there are several restaurants within very short walking distance of the event.

Will food be served?
There will be a mix of vendors selling food at the event.

Where can we park?
The Hershey Company is providing 1,200 spaces in two nearby lots: one is just west
of the main chocolate plant off of the Hershey Square and the other is located at the intersection of Chocolate Avenue & Homestead Road at the east end of the chocolate plant.
